What is Facebook Site Verification Meta Tag?

The Facebook verification meta tag is a small HTML code provided by Meta via **Meta Business Manager.

It looks like this: <meta name="facebook-domain-verification" content="XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" />

This confirms that you own the website domain.

Step 1: Go to Meta Business Manager

Visit: https://business.facebook.com/

Login with your Facebook account.

Step 2: Open Business Settings

  1. Click Settings (gear icon)
  2. Go to Business Settings

Step 3: Go to Brand Safety ? Domains

  1. Click Brand Safety
  2. Select Domains

Step 4: Add Your Domain

Click Add

Enter your domain: yourwebsite.com

Click Add Domain

Step 5: Choose Verification Method

Select: Meta-tag Verification

Add Facebook Site Verification Meta tag to Your Website.

Now add the copied meta tag to your website:

  1. Go to your website dashboard.
  2. Navigate to General Settings.
  3. Find the field: Facebook Site Verification Meta tag.
  4. Paste the copied code.
  5. Save your changes.
