A Google Analytics ID (also called a Measurement ID) is a unique tracking code provided by Google that looks like this: G-XXXXXXXXXX

It helps you collect data such as:

  4. Conversions

Step-by-Step: Create Google Analytics ID

Step 1: Go to Google Analytics Website

Visit the official site: https://analytics.google.com/

Sign in using your Google account.

 

Step 2: Start Setup

Click on “Start measuring”

You will be asked to create an account.

 

Step 3: Create an Account

Fill in:

  1. Account Name (e.g., Your Business Name)
  2. Data sharing settings (keep default or customize)

Click Next

 

Step 4: Create a Property

Add:

  1. Property Name (Your website name)
  2. Time Zone
  3. Currency

Click Next

 

Step 5: Business Details

Select:

  2. Business size

Click Next

 

Step 6: Choose Business Objectives

Select what you want:

  1. Generate leads
  2. Drive sales
  3. Understand traffic

Click Create

Accept terms and conditions.

 

Step 7: Set Up Data Stream

Choose: Web

Then enter:

  1. Website URL
  2. Stream name

Click Create stream

 

Step 8: Get Your Google Analytics ID

After creating the stream, you’ll see your Measurement ID: G-XXXXXXXXXX

That’s your Google Analytics ID

What is Google Analytics ID?

Now add the copied meta tag to your website:

  1. Go to your website dashboard
  2. Navigate to General Settings
  3. Find the field: Google analytics/GA 4 ID
  4. Paste the copied code
  5. Save your changes
