To create a Royal Mail Parcel API first visit https://parcel.royalmail.com/
Then click Sign in to Click & Drop as shown below:
After clicking on Sign in to Click & Drop you will find a login from like this:
Then click Register Here at the bottom of the form and complete your signup process using your information.
After completing the registration process, log into your account and go to your dashboard. In the dashboard, you will find an option called Integrate your online stores. Click on this option.
If you can’t find it in your dashboard, don’t worry. You can find it under the Settings menu at the top of the page. After clicking on Settings, click on Integration as shown below:
Then click Add a new integration. In the following pop-up, select Click & Drop API as shown below:
Create your API key with the following configuration. In the field “Default trading name” enter your company’s trading name. In the field “Integration Name” enter any title you prefer for this integration. Also tick-mark the three options as shown below, leaving the first one empty:
After completing this form click Save and Connect.
To activate your API key, click on API one more time. A pop-up will open with your API key displayed:
Now copy this API key and enter it into your website’s Admin area as shown below.
First, once in your Admin panel, navigate to Settings, then Royal Mail API:
In the following form in the field “Trading name” enter your trading name (the same one as you used in the Royal Mail API area) and in the field “API authorization key” enter the API key you just copied from the Royal Mail API area:
After doing this, go back to the Royal Mail API area and click on Update and connect button in the bottom right corner:
If you see the green link icon in your API list within your Royal Mail API area, it means the API key has been activated and is working.
